Operation Junk-free: Day 2

This was the scene in my yard this morning. We woke up to about2.5 inches of snow. What a way to bring in spring! It has melted for the most part, but it sure was pretty while it lasted.

Now, on to the mission report: I threw away, 3 old key chains, a stack of old business cards(10 yrs old), a bag of old sugar free candy, 4 pens that didn't work (I had been saving them to refill),5 more magazines and 1 old kitchen towel. That is 15 things for today. I am finding it pretty easy to find things to get rid of right now, I have a feeling that will change in a week or so. So far, it has all been stuff that I have just been putting off going through. I haven't started on the "good junk" yet.

Ah, this is why we like to live in Texas. Yesterday winter, today spring. Both days to me were beautiful. The snow was so thick on the tree limbs that I kept expecting to hear some cracking and seeing some limbs down. But today, the beautiful green grass is cleared of the thick white snow and my sons are talking about getting back to swimming in the pond/tank/pool soon. (They went last week.)
