Day 8:  I am thankful today to be living in the age of technology.  In my endeavor to be content, I must be content with the day and age in which God has placed me.  It is wrong of me to wish that I had been born in a bygone era of simpler things.  I need to look around me and see the privileges that I have been granted.  I have a computer that the can make available to me information on any subject I can imagine.  Just this week, I have learned how to do filet crochet, found information on water bath canning and found several recipes to try.  All without leaving my home.  What a blessing!  I can pick up my phone and call anywhere in the world.  I have a libraries worth of books and music at my fingertips to enjoy at my leisure. How blessed I am to have been placed in such a time as this.

All that being said, I also have a great responsibility to use all of this technology with great discernment.  I must not let it control me, I must remain in control of it.  Making sure that all that I use it for is within the parameters that God has laid out for me.  That the things that I view are moral and good, that I do not let it get in the way of my responsibilities as a wife and mother and that it glorifies God and edifies those around me.

Thank you God for these blessings and help me to be wise in my use of them.
