June 1, 2010.....
Something about the first day of June brings on a shift in my thinking. The days suddenly seem carefree, and bright, and my worries less cumbersome. There is a sense of adventure, new and unexplored, just waiting to be discovered and enjoyed. What is it about this day out of all the others that brings on this shift? Maybe it is a remembering of the days long past, when this day began the wonderful days of summer vacation. When the days were filled with sunshine and imagination. I remember spending hours digging "swimming pools" for my dolls, and searching for buried treasure and undiscovered places.......
Whatever the reason for the shift in my thoughts, I am thankful for the renewal that it brings to me.

Today I am thanking God for:
cool clean water,
honeysuckle scented breezes
flourishing gardens, green and fruitful
animals basking in the morning sunshine

lawn mowers and the smell of fresh cut grass
homemade ice cream , painfully cold and sweet
Koolaid mustaches
iced coffee in the middle of the day
summer projects
air conditioners
fruit trees, full of bounty
imagination
muddy footprints
